YouÂ'd think that a term "Sword Battle Ready" would be pretty much self explanatory wouldnÂ't you?

Unfortunately, many of the swords are described as a "battle ready" are not. And to quote Adrian Ko from Sword Forum International, "many of these swords wouldnÂ't want to take into battle, even if they were strapped to a M-16. And yet IÂ'd be worried! Â "

Dona't let that put you off either. YouÂ'll find that there are actually some very good swords found in this broad category, if you know what to look for.

The first thing you look for in a true functional sword is the type of steel it is made. To keep it simple, swords, 99% of all battle real smart are properly heat treated high carbon steel.

Stainless steel swords are a big no no. Why? Well, basically, stainless steel is ideal for making knives.
