What colors should I paint my room?

I am obsessed with things like real pirates, royalty, medieval times, dragons, and things like that. I was considering painting my room to look like an old tavern, a cabin of an old ship, or a real bedroom as it should found in a castle. I was leaning more towards the first two if. Most of the things in my room are of wood, especially wood-colored, like the soil, and many of the decorations with my favorite things, such as swords, pictures of the ocean, and collectible gentlemen. I've been searching for hours without luck trying to find the perfect colors for the walls of my room. I was thinking of a color such as mahogany. In general, a color in the families of the yellow, red, and / or coffee. Does anyone have any suggestions?

As someone who is planning the same thing for the bedroom, I myself am leaning towards gold, or to a rich red faux finish. If you have a favorite of some of that era ( "The Accolade" for example, is a man who was knighted, dragons, unicorns, anything really), try using that source of inspiration for the colors of the room. In general, rich colors work very well in this configuration. Go with colors that have a warm tone to them. Also, if you wish for wallpapers, selection of colors that come from or supplement wallpaper / mural. One thing that can work is painted on a wall paper, then the colors in the other three. If the tavern was to see if you can find some old lighting options for the future. The wood in the bedroom would be perfect for that or the boat. You can also paint the wood to make it look more. Also, if you go with the pub or boat, there are faux finishes that make a regular wall (not wood), it seems, well, wood. It is a difficult task, so I understand (state looking for the same month). In addition, there are some online sites for this purpose, my favorite being http://www.marbleslawn.com/medievalhome.html and its partner sites. Make sure visit the link sites! They are very good at finding things or just ideas. Also, when looking for things to decorate with, or simply to find inspiration, try looking flea markets and sales, but not be afraid to look at places like Hobby Lobby, which sometimes has very nice things for very cheap. I hope I can help a little. EDIT: Also, http://mariesmanor.fateback.com/Medievil/Camelot_Bedrooms.html and several sites
