Definitely look up your local SCA group – when it comes to authentically researched medieval art, clothing and accessories, which have some of the most amazing artisans and craftsmen around. Tho Note that SCAdians are doing it for a hobby, and as such are a great source information on how to do it yourself. If you just want to hire someone to do it for you, then do not come cheap, but it will be beautiful and well made, high quality.
